How do I know I own the cask?
We provide multi-layered certified documentation including your purchase agreement, ownership certificate, and registration with the warehouse recordkeeper to confer and document your ownership and ensure long term peace of mind.
What is the minimum investment?
Individual casks of Scotch Whisky can cost anywhere from $5-10,000 up to $20MM, allowing significant flexibility and personalization for your personal investment goals and portfolio.
How does Braeburn facilitate the sale of casks?
At your request, Braeburn will list your cask(s) for sale to buy-side investors and other brokers, industry buyers, and in some cases back to the distillery to ensure maximum liquidity opportunities. Most clients see their cask sales happen within a few days to a few weeks of listing.
There is no minimum hold period - you can sell at any time, but we recommend our clients hold their casks at least 5 - 7 years to allow sufficient time for maturation and value appreciation.
